Project to produce industrial products from olive mill wastewater gets EU support. A project initiated by Turkish experts to turn olive mill wastewater from olive production into industrial raw materials and products such as biodiesel and animal feed has received the support of a European Union program.
The order is the second phase of an ongoing project and will enlarge the existing olive oil plant – successfully built in 2016. The contract is a result of a long cooperation and relationship between NADEC Group and the technology group GEA in food processing, and more particularly in the dairy products sector as well as the success achieved in the first phase of the project.

A project to replace the bridge rails on the US Highway 101 Overcrossing at Olive Mill Road damaged during the Montecito flooding in January has been completed. Olive Mill Road is now fully open to two-way traffic over US 101 following the one-way traffic control which was in place for the duration of this project.
This ground up project consisted of site work, construction of a 13,775 square foot prefabricated metal building and interior finishes for an olive oil processing facility. By using a prefabricated metal building we were able to reduce construction time, allowing the owners to start processing olives sooner, as well as cut overall expenses during construction.
